updates from naptime

I figure no blogging is better than rambling, right? Quality over quantity…or something like that.

I actually have neither today. I just figured I would check in since we happen to live in the state that’s currently on fire…so sad.

We, thankfully, are out of harms way. The closest fire was the Flagstaff Fire in Boulder. It seems like the firefighters etc have done a good job at controlling it, as I don’t think it has grown. This is what it looked like outside our window the day the fire broke out:

Seriously, though, the fires near Fort Collins and in Colorado Springs are horrific. Thoughts and prayers and miracles are needed there….

Anyhow….because there is no good way to transition from that to anything, here is what happened to me the other day….

Awesome, right? Kellan was sitting in the poopy position (me sitting against the headboard, knees bent, Kellan on my lap, back resting against my thighs) and all of a sudden, his face gets all red, he grunts and poo literally shot out horizontally from his diaper.

It scared me and I was all, "Whoa!" which scared him so I had to forget the poo running down my shirt and all over the bed and smile, telling him everything was a-ok.

I know. How much fun would a day in the life be?

It’s always eventful, I can promise you that.

And that’s about all the time I have because guess who just woke up? I guess that means it’s time to get ready for our first trip to the pool. I’ve been telling Kellan it is like a bath, only older and outdoors. Wish us luck

(this is Kellan testing out all of the furniture over the weekend while we bought the new kitchen table)

Oh…right. PS: We also bought a new kitchen table, which ended a Tim and Jessica era….but I’ll have to delve into that another time…

What a cutie! We have had some crazy blowouts here too. It always amazes me, the force at which a baby can expel it’s poo. Also, how the diaper never even tries to catch it. 😛

You are so brave mama! This has happened many of times! Tenley got me with the poop in my work clothes, on Monday! And Tatum seems to pee on me every other day! lol — How can such tiny thinks create such big messes? lol

He needs his own chair! I hope you bought that. 🙂
